One of my passions is to work with start-ups and small businesses. During my regular work at eTribes I always make time to meet a range of interesting start-ups. I support the founders in the areas listed below and hope that their business takes of quickly – in part – through my early support of their ventures.

Most new ventures are too small to support a full-time CFO but by working with me through the points below a full range of services can be implemented without hiring a CFO full-time.

Business plan 

The most fundamental part of every start-up – formulating an idea either on paper or straight away with a minimum viable product. Here is where it all begins. These first thoughts are not only used to inspire employees, investors, critical parents but are also a fundamental support to the entrepreneur to prioritize tasks and to make sure that nothing is overlooked. Based on years of experience I support entrepreneurs to formulate their thoughts and to adapt their business plan to the correct audience.

Financing & Resources 

After formulating an idea into an actionable document it is time to find the right resources. These come in many shapes and forms – ranging from seed financing, key employees, first clients, technologies through to office space and legal advice. I see it as my responsibility to supply businesses with the right tools at the right time and to establish contacts that help small businesses to make the key first steps on their road to building a sustainable business.

Operations

Once the plan has been formulated and resources acquired the real work starts (even though at this point it feels like a lot of work has already been done :)). Here I can support with controlling, structuring and sales support. Start-ups should focus on their product and service not on installing structures that already exist and have proven to work over and over again. No need to reinvent business process structures when they can easily be implemented together with 2.0 technologies that allow smooth operations.
